Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, USA (2018)
It wouldn't be a trip in the Pacific Northwest without fog and mist. Mount Rainier National Park did not disappoint and delivered both during my time there.
Fog can often put a halt on landscape photography by covering up the object or view I'm trying to photograph. It can also provide opportunities to capture some unique scenes. The lack of view can create abstract shapes and minimalistic images that condense the beauty of nature in a way that will make you see it in a new light.
The added sense of mood and mystery make foggy day shooting more and more appealing to me. It's hard not to feel the atmosphere when it's all you can see.
