Perched high up on one of the peaks of the rim around Crater Lake National Park. The sky was smokey and the sun had just dipped below the horizon. Just a sliver of light remained below the smoke that back-lit the numerous peaks off in the distance. Sometimes I find the simplest compositions the most pleasing. Breaking down nature into basic geometric shapes that gently draw the eye into the main subject. I'm sure people could discuss the intricacies of composition for hours but for me I feel it's an art that one comes to appreciate and gets an eye for. To me it just feels right.
